A warm and sunny day set the stage for a wonderful and well attended opening for The BoxoHOUSE Survey 001:2012. This is the first exhibition in a series that presents works by artists who complete a BoxoHOUSE residency alongside selected artists working in Joshua Tree. The crowd included Gosia Wlodarczak from Melbourne, Australia whose project inaugurated the residency program as well as Tim Saternow of New York and David Mackenzie, who divides his time between Upstate New York and Joshua Tree. Also in attendance were prospective resident artists, members of the Joshua Tree community and many who came to enjoy the artworks and the lively conversation. The exhibition continues until December 15 2012.
